ALPACA PICTURE OF AMBER ROSE

When you take an alpaca picture try to capture their best moments. We think Amber Rose might be slightly embarrased if she knew we used this alpaca photo.

What's with that hairdo? Well, when we first got our alpacas, something called the lion cut was in fashion. As you can see it left the upper neck and head area unsheared.

We don't believe anyone in the alpaca industry is using this cut anymore. If anyone out there is, please stop. The alpacas will appreciate a much nicer trim. The top knot is all we leave on now. But who knows, a new style may come out later.

Amber Rose is a wonderful mom. In the alpaca picture below she is in her last month of pregnancy.

She would stand still forever while her crias nursed. We have been told that crias learn from their Moms. If your female alpaca is a good mom, her female babies probably will be, too. We're not sure if this is because they pass on the genetics for that type of personality or it is something that the crias learn. It does seem to be true for the most part.

Her Mom was a rose gray alpaca. You may be able to see in this alpaca photo that her gray is rose tipped. She has produced two white babies and a fawn. She has only been bred to a white sire. You just never know what color you will get.

We hope you enjoy Amber Roses' alpaca picture and learned a little more about alpacas.
