WET/NEEDLE FELTING PROJECT

What a great felting project! You combine wet felting and needle felting to produce a beautiful rose.

This project is made with alpaca fleece but you can use other wool. You can even use your dogs hair. We have used our Labrador (coarse but felts) and our Great Pyrenese (felts just like alpaca fiber) to make roses.

If you have a faithful old friend that is getting on in years, use combings to make a rose as a keepsake for when your friend is no longer with you.

Once you learn the technique, you can make any size rose, any color.

You will need a felting needle along with your wool. We like a 38 gauge triangle for alpaca. A 36 gauge triangle will work, we just think the 38 does a better job and leaves smaller holes in the finer fleece.
