Free Knit Scarf Pattern with Hat

Alpaca Knitting Yarn
This free knit scarf pattern is made from handspun alpaca knitting yarn. The knit hat pattern is made from handspun yarn, too, but a lighter brown was used on the cuff area to give it an interesting look. You can make the cuff all the same color.
The double seed stitch for this hand knit scarf gives this set a really nice texture. Using alpaca yarn makes it toasty warm and non-prickly. Knit alpaca is very stretchy.
You can make this free knit scarf pattern wider if you wish. Just make it a multiple of four (4) and add two. For example, you would need to cast on fifty-six (56) stitches plus two (2) = fifty-eight (58) stiches total cast on.
There's nothing warmer than a wool scarf around your neck and a wool hat on your head. You will be proud of this hand knit scarf so get those knitting needles clicking and begin.
