NEEDLE FELTED BEAR TUTORIAL

Bears are very popular to make and own, so we developed this needle felted bear for you to try. Once you get the basics down, you can add your own unique style to the bear. Try different expression, poses, and even colors.

Attaching An Ear

Dry felting means no sewing. Your characters are seamless. To smoothly attach parts, such as the bear ear, you must do it correctly. The following instructions will teach you how to attach a bear ear seamlessly.

First, lay your fleece on a foam pad.

Next, start folding the top fleece over and needling.

Keep shaping the ear until you have the top rounded and loose fleece on the bottom.

Place the bottom edge with the loose fleece against the bear head and needle in place. This creates a seamless junction between the ear and the head.

Continue shaping the ear on the bears' head until you are satisfied with the look.

Needle Felted Bear

The needle felting tutorial is divided into three parts.

Part 1 - Bear head

Part 2 - Bear body

Part 3 - String jointing, adding claws and head.

Once you finish the bear, you can add accessories to give it more character.
